After working with athletes at all levels, I’ve learned that training doesn’t need to be over-complicated—it needs to be intentional and specific to each athlete’s needs. Many athletes I work with are either recovering from an injury or struggling to perform at their previous level, which often affects their mindset because their body movements feel off. Rebuilding that mindset is priority number one. This is where data plays a crucial role, allowing athletes to see the numbers and understand why their movements feel off. Once they grasp this concept, we can tailor their drills and exercises. As their body starts to feel and move better, their confidence returns, and we can then push their limits, maximize efforts, and get them back to normal—or create a new normal.
